Henoko diary -from the dugong sea-

2 / 13   2005

Sunday

Off to Okinawa, arrive late afternoon and are picked up by Yuka and we head north to Henoko, we have a brief stop where the staging area is, it is a bit of a slog to get the boat in the water but not too bad.

We are staying in Higashi a small village about 15min from the fishing port used for the construction; there are no restaurants no pub here so I’m glad we stocked up on beer on the way here.
It is about nine in the evening and a local dog has run away with one of my shoes, after ½ hour we find it in a nearby field.
