the Japanese Prime Minister, Junichiro Koizumi, the U.S. President, George Bush, The off-shore marine environment of Henoko in Okinawa is a coral reef rich in marine diversity. Endangered sea turtles and dugongs, an officially recognized culturally protected species, are among precious marine creatures dependent on this ecosystem. The amended plan agreed by both governments of United States and Japan in October, 2005 will still devastate the ecosystem in Henoko as well as damage the livelihood of local people. I urge you to cancel the plan to build a U.S. airbase in Henoko, Okinawa.
