* Dear Honorable Governor,

Please switch off the Rokkasho reprocessing plant today. You need to pay us a visit in Lagos Nigeria and painfully observe the myriads of negative effects of climate change as we are engulfed with an atmosphere of dust and intense heat.

If a coastal city like ours can be this hot, what would cities in the desert areas feel?

Think about this Hon. Governor.

Many thanks,

Nigeria

* Kindly don't ignore the fact that we are all responsible not only to ourselves but also to all the generations to come.

India

India

* There are much safer and cleaner ways to produce power and japan has wonderful engineering skills. It could show the rest of the world how to get most benefit from renewable energy. The world needs to change its direction before it creates problems that even the best technology will not be able to fix. The lifespan of radioactive waste is too long and the danger too great. Please do not risk the wellbeing of your people but support clean green technology.

Australia

* Please end the reprocessing. Nuclear power, though thought to be effective, is a highly dangerous method for providing energy and utilizing "greener" forms of energy, i.e. solar, wind, hydro should be utilized where possible.

United States

* The quality of THORPS previous storage of nuclear waste is concerning. To bring this into your land without any Governemnt or Indepent review is a scary idea.Reprocessing and storing of wate from THORP is a terrible burnded for Aomori, I hope you can find a solution that is clean and safe.
